Steering U Joint for 9/16 DD tube

I am putting power steering into my 66 CJ5 and have a steering shaft that I think is out of an 80 CJ. It is collapsible and one half is 3.4" DD(OD) while the other half is 9/16" DD. I have found U Joints for 3/4 DD, but can't find anything for the 9/16" end. Does anyone have any ideas on that? Worse case scenario I will cut a piece of the 3/4" DD sleeve from another shaft I have, and weld it on top of the 9/16" tube. Thanks

Generally DD shafting is 3/4" on the small end and 1" on the other end, you may be $hit out of luck with that oddball size.

Ok, now here may be the A-Ha moment. Do you measure the shaft, flat to flat, or the D to D sides?

I just measured those for $hits and giggles and if I am supposed to measure on the round sides, then it is 3/4" and 1".

On the diameter, not the flats.
