Headlight Buckets

    I'm doing a V8 swap into my early. I used a grille off a '76 and an aftermarket alum radiator. When I bolt my OE '70 headlight buckets into the '76 grille, they are pressed right up against the alum radiator. Worried about rubbing due to road vibration and such. Do you guys with the intermediate/late CJ grilles have a gap between the headlight buckets and radiator?

    I cut about 1" off the back of the bucket.

    Are '72+ buckets different? Or '76+?

    Yes, they are a cone shape and quite a bit smaller on the back. They give quite a bit more room for a radiator. I know the '76 and newer are and I believe the Intermediates are the same as lates.
