Mounting bracket seems to wrap around rear fender.

Anybody know if this would support a 33X12.5X15 BFG tire?

    Thanks

Had one like that on the back of my 75 cj5. The wrap around brackets are strong, back of tub, not.

Looks like the one on the back of my '72 Blazer. Do you have the striker plate? Actually the one on my Blazer has the pin on the striker plate and a latch on the swing bar mount. The tire mount is exactly the same.

I can't remember who made them.

Similar to, but not the same as, the Whitco unit used on the early Renegades. I agree with rusty-I don't like the idea of 33" of tire hanging off the back of the tub. Better to have the frame carry the weight.

Looks like the same brand as the one on my Ramcharger.
Appears to also be missing the reinforcing plates on the inside that sandwich the rear fender between the brackets.
Mine works fine with 235-75R-15, would not think of using it for a 33x12.50, just asking too much for what it is.

The one on my '72 Jimmy is similar, but the top and bottom are not parallel but tapered, almost triangular. I would guess Jeep CJ7 or International Scout.
