I seem to be missing the spring that allows the pedal to return to the idle position. I do not recall ever taking it off but do see a piece of a spring still connected to the linkage. Anyone know where I can get one? Not finding anything. 1960 CJ5 Universal F134.

Any hardware store spring of the right length and tension will work. I measured the length (don't recall the measurement) and found one at Lowe's the correct size.

Any spring will work as long as it has enough tension to pull the throttle back to idle position.

Don't use too heavy a spring, the throttle will be very stiff.
