Pics of a "bubbafied" military M170 jeep. Body is rust free, all cavities, amazing condition, but Bubba did a bunch of less than perfect mods.

    Yep, added a roll bar...
Cut up the dash for a stereo, and removed all the serial plates.
    They are long gone...
And installed a heater, but couldn't figure out the venting, so it didn't work.
put a hanging brake pedal in but it doesn't really line up...
And a Willys tailgate with fair amount of bondo...

Has a V6 and I assume a T86, which was put in a bit crooked, but it does run!, and will be a great start, I hope. Lots of growling noises from the tranfer case and transmission...

    Nice!

And if the tranny/tc are in crooked, that is probably the source of the noise.
Didn't think that was possible, But, Hey! I don't know Bubba!

Well, yep. I'll post pics ASAP. Redid the wiring, engine hoses & electronics, found the correct air cleaner, remounted the seats, fuel system works properly, cleaned the gas tank, etc.
Now all lights work properly, the PO had wired lights wrong so one high beam came on with the other Low, as vice versa. Now has turn signals, brakes lights, etc. all work as they "should", although using conventional switches. I do have the proper military light switch, but the PO removed most of the connectors including that one.
Tried to keep the original wiring as much as possible.
Now working on transfer case/engine mounting as they are mounted too far back and to the right by about an inch. Doesn't sound like much, but that inch means nothing lines up, sheet metal, mounts, the floor hits the motor , etc.
Runs like a champ, new fluids, tune up...the V6 is solid, no leaks,
Haven't been a photobug, but have a few shots..
