Thought I had my overdrive issues sorted out after turning down the spud shaft from my novak adapter the other night... thats what I get for thinking. Went to finish up the install, and push the oil scoop in today and... the oil scoop does not fit in the oil scoop slot. I think herm thinks I am crazy. The large end of the oil scoop fits into the OD housing, as seen in the picture below

But on my setup, the scoop is twice the length of the slot for the scoop.

    anybody encountered this before?

Saturn = Warn, Warn = Saturn, so yes, in theory.

Looks like your slot for the oil pickup didn't get machined out all the way. I've never seen one like that.

On my way to Herms to get this sorted out. :) I knew I should have gone duck hunting this weekend instead of staying home and trying to work on the jeep.

But then it would have taken even longer to find the problem, get it fixed, and Jeep put together...;)

Herm got me all fixed up :). First time he had ever seen a Warn housing that was mis machined. I must live in the greatest place in the world to build Jeeps. 5 minutes to R&P, 10 minutes to the Holbrook's, 15 minutes to Nickmil's, and 30 minutes to Herms. Gotta love it :)
