Seatbelt Restoration - Sharon's Web

I just got my seat belts back from Sharon's Web, and they look great. It took about a month to get them completed, but they put all new webbing on and re-chromed the buckles...and they look awesome! I would highly recommend them for business! I can't wait to put them in the Jeep - they'll be the nicest things in there! Here's what they look like...

Wow. Those look great. I recenlty took those exact lap belts off my 67 and went with the 3 pt. belts for the illusion of safety. Should keep my head from going forward into things. Low back seats not ideal though. I like the folding seat to the tool box so I have not gone to a high back. I really like the logo on the buckle but mine were not holding like they used to so I fugured they were just worn out. I would like to find another use for the buckle to keep use the cool logo.

What shape were the springs in? I have a set I wanted to rechrome but they need new springs too...problem is, they are crimped into the buckle

The springs were in pretty good shape, but the insides were covered with rust. They're all cleaned off now. They're locking just fine as well. Also, for two of them - it ran just under $140.

Can these be had from anywhere? I'm not sure if my 61 came with seatbelts, but if not, that will be the only non-stock addition I make. These would probably be the least oppressive way to add a little safety... if anyone knows where they can be picked up, please drop me a line.

 

I second the kudos for Sharon's Web. I sent them my original belts and set of NOS buckles that I paid way too much for on Ebay. (my originals were too far gone) The results are fantastic. They even saved the original labels off my old belts and sewed them on to the new ones. Here are some before and after pictures:

 

Did they add the Alofs label? That really looks nice.

 

The labels are the original ones off my old belts. They removed the labels, cleaned them up somehow, and sewed them on my new belts.

 

Very nice. I just picked up a set off ebay, and was looking into having them done.

 

Awesome! I have a set of those belts that I got from Kiowamtp for like, $10 or so. If I could get them restored like that, maybe even made longer, that would be sweet! Definitely bookmarked that link.
