Dana 18 shifter oil seal

    Is there an easy way to remove these? Seems like someone used a sealer that is holding them in like epoxy. I have a seal pry bar but it wont budge them.

    Do you have a slide hammer with a small hook on the end?

    Also, maybe see if you can get a small chisel along side the seal and bend it toward the center. Once you get that part bent in, it might give the rest of the way.

    Of course, don't bung up the machined surface! :shock:

    Thanks Thad, that did the trick. I just got it started with the slide hammer and they popped right out with a screwdriver. Two minute job.
