A buddy and I are making a train to pull kids around and make some money for charity. We are using the TSC paint. The flat panels I used Rustolum primmer, then the TSC paint was rolled on. Then sanded smooth and the second coat using a sprayer. Came out fine for me.

And another vote for the hardner they sell. But use a respirator, its some nasty stuff.......

Interesting info. It made me think about something I thought I read recently that when using the modern 2 stage paints (base coat, clear coat) that the UV protection is in the clear coat. Can one put a clear coat over the TSC stuff I wonder? I didn't see it mentioned in their advertisments. Might be moot at that point cost wise, I don't have a clue if the clears are costly or not. More of a question for interest at this point I guess. For my immediate needs I ended up going with Eastwood single stage urethane automotive paint. I only needed a couple quarts so I just went with the known product. It seems the valspar would have also done just fine for me. I am interested in trying this TSC stuff at some point, I love being able to run over there on a whim.

You should be able to clear it. Van Sickle Tractor paint (we get it at Big R here) has a clear coat they offer.
