Pretty soon I am going to finish my tear down so I can re-finsh my frame and assemble my rolling chassis. I want to replace my shackles and main eyes with greaseable ones that have poly bushings.

Anyone on here use these specific ones:

KJ02024BK - Daystar Black greaseable main eye kit 75 or older CJ

18265.03 - Rugged Ridge Black greaseable shackles with bushings 75 or older CJ

I have stock springs, spring hangers, and shackle hangers for now.

    Thanks

    Bob

I have used both the rigged ridge greaseable shackles, and the daystar poly bushings. I didnt use the greaseable main eye kit. This is my opion of them.. those shackles you are looking at are the ones to get in my opion. I had them, and loved them. If they ever get bent like mine did once, you can simply take them apart and hammer them back flat. You cant do that with the H type shackles. As far as greasing them, I did that maybe once. Not worth whatever the extra expense was in my opinion. the poly bushing can squeak sometimes, though I never really had a problem with that. Lube them up real good when you install them and all should be good.

This is my first CJ but I always added greaseable main eyes to my YJs and it made a noticable difference in the ride harshness. Thanks for the info on the parts I am going to go ahead and order them when I get my next paycheck.
