I got a line a guy that has a few different T18 transmission, all Jeep / Kaiser stuff. Is there any way to bolt a T18 to an F-head? I know it can be done to a Buick V6, and but ideas on the four cylinder?

Contact Hermtheoverdriveguy as he makes a kit for it. It depends on what the T-18 is from. Saying it's from a kaiser application is not enough info as I k ow of at least 6 different input shafts used in Jeeps and there may be more

I knew of at least three different input shafts. I'll get a hold of Herm, thanks.

This has been an interest of mine for a while, here is what I got from Herm last night. " I am real close to being able to offer a T-98 transmission as a direct replacement for the T-90"

Hard to resist pointing out the obvious here ...

I'd think that you could come close to the same price for a complete 4-speed and engine swap for the cost of a F134 conversion to any 4-speed. In either case, you still have to convert the transfer case to the transmission, or use a transmission that's already compatible with the Dana 18.

I'd think if you really really really want a F134 CJ with a T-98, donor Jeeps are out there. If you must keep "your" Jeep, swap over the T-98 and put the leftover parts into the donor, and then resell the donor. Or swap the best bits of your Jeep to the donor, then sell "your" Jeep.

But it's your Jeep, and your money :)

    Because of the maindrive gear,
installation of the correct T98A is certainly better than some oddly modified T18 conversion for the Willys 134 Jeep engines.
There is currently a Willys T98A on eBay # 130587833064.
