on a 1971 CJ-5 with a T98/D18 and D44 rear axle, is the drive line straight (in-line) between the 18 and 44 or is there a small angle? I dont remember there being an angle, I'm putting the trans back in and its been awhile since I took it out and I might have the cross member backwards...

It's at a bit of an angle.

Mine was fine until I installed the SM465 and replaced the t-case mount, now there is a slight angle.

The output on the D18 isn't in line longitudinally with the pinion on the offset 44
