Rear fuel tank questions

    I've searched the past threads and have seen some of the installs. Now a couple questions.

    1. What is the best year tank to use and what parts are used to mount it?

    2. When searching online I see there are different tank fill diameters. Are these based on the room between the tub and frame?

    3. Do all rear tanks have supply and return lines or strictly supply?

    It's easiest to find parts for the '79 fuel tank. I built a custom tank (and have 2 more to do), it was easiest to find filler, spout, lines and such for that 'era' of jeeps.

    I put a '70-71 tank in mine. I had to cut the K-frame out from under the bed.

    I'm gonna put it back under the seat eventually--
