My 64 Cj5 has cracks in all three of the steering wheel arms right where they connect to the central hub of the wheel. It looks like there are metal internal supports that are still intact. Has anyone epoxied their wheel supports? Or should I just replace the steering wheel completely?

Eastwood Company has a good product that is used for steering wheel repair used it to repair a wheel on a '55 Ford works pretty good.

Isn't the RTV "squishy" even when dry?
I'd think you'd want something that dries completely hard.

yea it stays squishy. which i think is better. if you pull your wheel for and aft youve got some movement there. something hard will crack out after a while. If the rtv eventually fails you just another 5 minutes of rubbing a new layer on will fix it right up . no painting or sanding or anything required. Its the steel inside that holds the wheel out. like an older flatfender wheel. the plastic coating isnt structural
