    Hi everybody. Been a little while since I checked in. Been driving my CJ everyday for the last year or so. Loving every minute of it.

    I have a problem with a rear brake cylinder. The casting actually broke so I can't rebuild it. The problem is that I don't know what the brakes are off of. Here are the clues:

    Wheel Cylinder 7/8" diameter
    Brakes: 11" x 2" Manually Adjusted with a little cam at mid shoe.
    Dana 44 with tapered axles.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Thanks Glenn. I was trying to narrow it to a year range, but got some help from a Jeep outfit in Mississippi, that told me they are '47 to '52.

    Any idea where to find the wheel cylinders this old. NAPA shows that they quick making them in 1973.

    Thanks.

    I just noticed in your profile about the brakes. Are you referring to the specific size of the wheel cylinder being from '47 to '52? Just wondering because my wagon has the same brakes, not sure about the wheel cylinder though. Got all my new stuff from Walck's.

    Glen;

    Yes, I was told the 7/8" diameter wheel cylinder was only used in those years on wagons, and some trucks. I'll trying Walcks tomorrow.

    Thanks for the help.
