I had a previous post about hesitation in acceleration.

Tried a number of things: Rebuilt the carb, changed to electronic ignition and replaced coil at the same time, replaced fuel filter, had a vacuum leak check done, removed the EGR Valve and sealed the port...and god knows what else.

Yesterday, I noticed the PCV grommet loose. Shoved it in. No more hesitation / dead spot. Runs like a banshee.

    Stupid crap.

Trial and error is how we all learned. So look at it this way, you’ve gained valuable experience and from the sounds of it should have a solid fuel delivery and ignition system, should be good to go for a while.

That PCV groumet got me once. Now it's on the list of first things to check.
