I see on the website the engine ID information; however one of my Dauntless V6 engines has the number DSH040AB.
    D - domestic
    S - 1970
    H - V6-225 9.0-1 cr (2bbl carb)
040 - day of the year manufactured
    AB ?????

    What's the AB for?

Is there an "S" on the end?
AB denotes (A) .010" undersize main and rod bearings and (B) .010" oversize pistons.
An "A" at the end would denote "service engine"

Thanks Patrick. No, there is no "S" at the end, just ends with AB.

FWIW, this information is straight out of the Factory Service Manual (FSM)
