I have a stock 1960 cj5 with the f-head motor, t90 trans, and dana 18. I found a guy that has a t98 transmission that he pulled from a f head cj5. He says it has the bellhousing and transfer case adapters bolted to the transmission and will bolt into my cj5.
Can I use my bell housing as long as I have the adapter and is there anything else I need other than the driveshafts and tunnel cover?

Why not use the one that comes with the transmission? Then you know you have the correct one.

IIRC the T-98 has a plate adapter front and rear. I believe the OP was saying that it comes with the plate adapters ("bellhousing and transfer case adapters") but not the bell.

I'd answer, but I don't know if the T-98 bell is the same as the T-90 bell. I suspect it is, otherwise there would be no need for the front plate adapter.

The floor pans over the T98 are very different from the ones used on the T90. You need to see if you can get them too.

I think the clutch linkage is different too. The bell crank pivots in a socket on the rear plate adapter. You should try to get those parts too, if you can.

Thanks guys. So I need to try to get the transmission cross member, tunnel cover, clutch linkage, and we are not sure about the bell housing. I know that the driveshafts are different, but mine are real tight and I think I will just get the ones I have shortened and lengthened.
