Something you don't see everyday

My current project came right off the trailer and straight into my garage so I don't know if this suspension mod works or not. (I have my doubts) I have always intended to cut all the wacky stuff off in favor of a more conventional set up but I thought you all might get a kick out of marveling at someones brain storm. Heck, for all I know it works great like this but feel free to comment!

My guess is that it was sold to be installed like that. Likely a generic overload from JCW or Pep Boys a few decades ago.

 

Maximum cheeseball...minimum articulation.

Once you remove them, you will see that your leaf springs are beyond toast.

 

Well then there you go....maybe they were saving the leaf springs. R)

I don't know... somehow it seems as though they should be saved for posterity

 

I kind of like them, except for those adjustable spacers, that's kind of overkill .
