74 alternator

KK have the alternator wired as the jeep manual diagram shows. the alternator light on when the ignition is off. The post where the orange wire from the voltage regulator is connected is hot all the time is this correct ?????thanks for the help

Your a gd wizard sterlaclan.
So the lower terminal is the battery connection. the next up is the orange to the regulator and the grey to the cluster. the middle terminal is hot when the battery is connected.
is this correct because the alt light is on when the ignition is on.
