    hi folks,

    i currently have:
    - three 'L' handles, all keyed alike
    - one 'T' handle, non matching key

I would like to take one of the 'L' locks and put it in the 'T', so they all match.

Anyone ever swap the lock barrel from these types of handles?

    Any advice?

Im guessing you need to press out the pin in the rear, but other than that not sure what I am getting into..

    Can't be that complex ehh?

    thanks

Is there a number stamped into the lock face? My dad used to build pickup camper shells and used the T-handles, and there were only about 10 or 15 different key variations. We used to keep spare keys in a coffee can. Should have seen the surprised look when guys would come in saying they had lost their key and needed a new lock and my dad grabbed the coffee can and gave them a new key in about 5 seconds. So if you find the number you should be able to order a new matching key.

K127 was by far the most common key, and I just checked Ebay and sure enough, someone is selling keys: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Truck-Cap-Camper-Shell-Topper-RV-T-handle-2-KEYS-K127-/120711501377

I used an L handle for the back. That's what my meyer's came with originally. If you have 3 then use one of those.
