V6 Fuel Sending Unit

    Why would my sending unit tell my gauge the opposite information such as when the arm is all the way up it shows empty and when it is all the way down it shows full?

    There are different kinds of guages/sending units. Ones that read full with no power and ones that read zero with no power. If you mismatch the guages and sending units, you can get the condition you're experiencing.

    Yep a mismatch but not to worry. Grab the float wire with a pair of pliers (the wire hanging down) and then grab the wire at the bend with another pair of pliers and twist the down wire so the float points 180*. That will change the sweep and make the gauge read the right direction. By the way, this credit goes to Howard Eisenhauer.
