    I own a 1970 CJ5.
It did not have a top or doors of any kind when I purchased it.
I am looking at tops to keep out the rain and was hoping to find a windjammer style top.

    But so far I can't located one for a 70 CJ5.

Does anyone know if such a top exists?:?

I do believe that one of the few new made tops are the "tiger-tops" from Bestop
    Not my favorite.

The only other alternatives are custom made, or a new military style from Beachwood Canvas

Those are the ones I know of at least

To my knowledge no one makes that type of top for an early. It would have to be custom made.

I just use a Bikini top on mine.
Around here you really don't want to be enclosed in all that canvas from the end of March until the first of November.

But you do want the shade over your head!

I made my own out of the remnants of a tonneau cover. Well, sort of. It's a unit that I tie onto the uprights of my cage, just behind the seats. This, combined with my bikini top sort of make a windjammer type top. It does leave a lot to be desired but it IS better than nothing when it's cold, rainy, etc. I did it in a hurry prior to a long trip on a cols weekend. If you take your time, you could likely make something better and more effective.

I was always interested in this for mine too!

I have an extra soft top that I've been thinking about transforming into the windjammer set-up (it's just low on the list right now). If anyone has pics of there set-up, please post them!
