    I Recently Bough A Junk Yard Jeep With Just A Little Bit Of Info About It.
    > It Is A 78 Body That I Can Id From The Vin Number But The Frame Which I
    Was
    > Told Was From A 70 And Motor Are Giving Me A Hastle. It Has A V6 With The
    > Distributer Mounted In The Front Right Side As You Look At It And I Can't
    > Find Any Cast Numers On It So I Have No Clue As To The Year Or The
    > Displacment. The Steering Is Manuel And The Steering Shaft Is One Peice

    > To The Gear Box And It Was Taken Apart When I Boughit So I Have Been

    First off, welcome.

    If you have pictures that's most helpful to us so we can tell you what you may (or may not) have. ;)

    If the frame's a 70 then you probably have Ross steering setup. Ross steering would have the box on the frame in the engine compartment vs. Saginaw which has the steering box out in front of the grill on the frame. A better description there would help too. :D

    I didn't think a 78 body would fit a 70 frame.... huh.. bet that looks odd, anyhow what sparky said.. as for ross parts JC whitney has some and so does 4wd hardware. This assuming it is the 4 cyl box.. the V6 box is slightly harder to get parts for..
