Regearing Dana 30...question

    I am in the process of doing a Dana 30 swap on my CJ5. The Dana 30 came out of 77 or 78 CJ5 and was geared 3.54. I have a NOS R and P to match the rear axle that is 3.73. I am going to have a shop do the install for me but my question is will the case/carrier(?) with the spider gears in it work with a different r & p gear? I would assume that it doenst matter what gear ratio r&p goes in there, bit I am not sure. It is in great shape with no wear marks on it. Thanks.

    Break is 3.54 down and 3.73 up. You will need a new case.
