# on distributor body?

I'm still trying to figure out why my cap doesn't match my distributor body. Had to renotch the cap to get everything to line up. The distributor body has the # 110552 stamped in it, but I can't find that number anywhere on the net to reference it to. I thought if I knew what it came out of maybe I could see if I've got the right cap. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.

 

if it's a Delco distributor, you're missing a digt somewhere.
in the blind, Delco # 1110552 is for a 232/258 application.
in a V6 application, Delco #s are:
1110322
1110342
1110376
maybe we have a rebuilt distributor, using that housing in a V6 application?
I'm unsure which engine you have.

 

Thanks for the reply JP. I've got 225 and this distributor was bought from an individual. The guy said he got it from a pick and pull, cleaned it up and sat it on the shelf. It had an oddfire pickup in it and doesn't look to be new. Just can't figure why the points on the pickup didnt line up with the towers in the cap. As I stated I had to renotch the cap to get it to run. I'll get another look at it after while to see if I missed a Number.

 

there were also to different Delco caps used in the V6 application.
The windows are in different locations.

 

Forgot to mention, it's an Hei distributor. Not sure but I don't think it has a window.:v6:
