Buick 231 V6 alternator bracket? Interchangeability and where to get?

Hey all (again),

I have a 231 Buick V6 from '79 or '80.

When I replaced the bad alternator on my '69 Jeepster with a 94 amp model, I noticed the ear of the aternator mounting bracket was broken off where the alternator case slides into at the bottom.

Trying to find a replacement alternator bracket for the passenger side.

Please help me interchangeability, and where to look. i tried 231 alternator bracket on eBay and allofcraigs with no joy.

Yup, 231 even the 350 Buick will fit, just can't recall up to what year but mid 80's. Buick Alternator Bracket on eBay Probably would buy that particular one though, shipping to the US is a LITTLE high.

 

yup you can use that one. a buick 350 from the 70's will work as well. all i did was tighten up the bolt and has been like that for a few years(broken).i have the one from a buick 350 on the shelf waiting for the other one to not work anymore. those are getting harder to find.

 

I had just went to pull a part and found one on a 71 comando luckey i guess.
