In my research on this subject, I found it mentioned that vehicles built for California emissions were painted red at the factory.
Check your engine's underhood emissions tag and see if it states that it meets Cali standards

    Here's the metallic type

    http://www.bulltear.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=233

That link is also a really good forum for AMC engines.

That's pretty much the only officially labeled AMC blue in a can you can find online. Eastwood has it by the quart. Otherwise you'll probably just have to try and match the color with something similar.

The non-metallic type looks gay anyways

This is what my oil pan turned out looking like with that same product

It's dusty and it looks better in person haha

AFAIK the California engines were red only for 1972. <Also - a California '71 360 - and 258? - from a Wagon or J-truck may also be red. I recall that from somewhere.>

All the 1973 engines that I've seen have had the metallic color. My' 73 CJ-5 was a California car and it was painted the metallic color. The Eastwood paint is pretty close (needs more green), but the BullTear color looks closer to me. Plus the Eastwood paint is much too glossy.

My '75 was also a California car and was painted the solid aqua-blue shown here:

The Seymour has a good mix of green, its hard to see in the picture but you can see it in actual daylight
