More information on early hub / disk swap.

Ok. I posted earlier in the week and found out I was completely unaware that the LM501311 does NOT work on the early model hubs (pre-1965). I got mixed results on whether or not the original race was going to work and I really didn't want to have to hunt down two later model hubs...so....I went on with the swap using the stock race and bearings on the original hub....and bam....everything lines up and works absolutely perfect. Having just done a later model conversion on my jeepster...I'd actually say that these seem to line up even BETTER than the later ones. You can even reuse the snap ring at the end that you have to toss with the later models. I'm not sure whether this is common knowledge but I couldn't seem to find anything at the time on whether the early hubs would indeed work...and they do.
