Frame rear support length?

    I've noticed this morning that the right side of the rear support on my 75 CJ6 frame is shorter than the left side.
    I don't know how I missed this all this time.
    There is some evidence of previous damage, most probably by pulling a plough.:evil:

    Can anyone help me with some info please?

    Mine on my 73 CJ5 is the same way, longer on the left. The license plate holes are in the far left part, but I find it hard to understand why it's not symmetrical.

    my old 49 has the same offset so it was for something early on probably some leftover from ww2
