1974 CJ6 Build

Picked up this 1974 cj6 on december 30th, 2010. Here is a pic:



Rather than my last project (1953 cj3b), I wanted to do a full build on this one. So the first step was to strip it down to the frame.





I had originally planned to sandblast and paint the frame, but there was some damage, and rather than doing all the work and spending the money, I figured why not just build my own frame?

Here is some of the frame damage. I know this is just the strapping rusted through and the rust isn't THAT bad and could probably be repaired, but hey, it's a jeep build, right?


This weekend will be the initial frame build. I picked up all the steel for about $150 from the local steel supply.
