Oil Pressure sender on the 231

    Can someone please direct me to the right port for the Oil Pressure sender on a 1979 231? (installing in my '55 CJ5) I'm guessing it's the small port on the driver's side rear of the block but I'd like the confirmation without having to drive 30 miles to town and by a Buick manual.

    I'm going from memory but I'm pretty sure it's towards the front of the engine on the passenger side.

    Above the oil filter/pump housing. in the block.

    Got it, thanks a lot. I had glanced at that with a mirror and dismissed it as a bolt hole but on closer inspection it's 1/4 fpt. Now I can fill her up and fire her off!
