make the bend an 45* angle instead of 90*, if you are worried about the jeep playing tag.

Are you referring to the mounts coming off the bumper? Put those coming out at 45* angle?

I know this didn't come out right. Hope you get the idea.

  3. John: Don't see any prob. with using a drop hitch turned upside down. That's what the PO did when he towed mine. When I got it, I just measured to the center of the tow bar mount bolts and went down to a tow shop and had them match up that height to my Yukon. Not sure what we ended up with, but it was just an upside down hitch.

Now, when the PO delivered my Jeep (he towed it up from Parker to my house) he towed it with his 2 week old Avalanche. He didn't have the correct height hitch for the Avalanche, so he threw a couple of old tires in the bed, put his '59 Vette engine (he was in the final stages of restoring his) in the bed of the Avalanche to "lower" it, and towed away. When he arived, I ask if it was a "spare" engine for the Jeep! R)

Yeah Jim that'd be cool. I think i'll split the difference with the towbar drop and the hitch drop. This way here I will still be able to open the rear doors of the Suburban if I need to without unhooking the jeep.

yes. will prevent bending under hard braking.
