Jeep Service/Parts Catalog Sources

Sorry to all if this is obvious..but it ain't to this newbie.

My Father-In-Law is looking for parts catalogs from suppliers so he can look-up parts he wants/needs for restoring this old 66 CJ5. I fully understand there is a wealth of resources on the internet and readily available at a click of the mouse...but as some of you may understand, at his age he isn't that keen on computers. When you factor in how slow his internet service is...Dial-Up is all thats available to him...you can understand he's desire for some honest to goodness paper catalogs. I am assuming the vendors/suppliers charge for these catalogs?

When I thought about this I came to the conclusion we need these resources most when we're out in the shop working on these jeeps anyway. Do most of you have actual catalogs in your shops? Just curious..

So, can anyone recommend a good place to get some parts catalogs for this jeep?

Would be interested in your suggestions on a good service manual or two as well... think he'd find it highly useful.

I used to get a printed catalog from Walcks:

I would think you could take it to Kinko's or a similar printer and have it printed on paper.

Yes, I have the parts catalog for '74-80 in paper form. Very handy.

 

The quantity and variety of various original manuals, lists and catalogs is baffling to many.
IMHO the computer is a second rate substitute in place of the original maintainance manuals, mechanics manuals, service manuals, parts lists and parts catalogs.
For 1966 he will need either the W-1185 R1 (1966) Universal Parts List (UPL) or else the W-1195 UPL (1967).
I have a special suppliment to the W-1185 UPL that I intend to list in the F/S forum.
The correct Universal Service Manual (USM) for a 1966 vintage universal is the SM 1002-R5 (1965) along with the Dauntless Suppliment (1965) if needed.
However I will suggest the SM 1037 (1968 ) or perhaps the final USM, the SM 1046 (1971, 1973, 1975, 1977)
