Remember a post a while back with people interested in between the framerail headers. Been a year and nothing going on?
Anyone with a heads up on where to get some? Ive got a jeepster with a 225 and running outty headers seem like the wrong type for the 225, since you cant do a crossover pipe?
Im needing a new exhaust soon, and would like to step up in performance for the 225. Ive got an offy intake and looking for a holly 390 to bolt up.
Making it all breath better. Lemme know if anyone has any sources. Thanks

    Smiggley,

Some of the stock Jeepster headers are simular to cast-iron headers-- they are "scavenged" well-- that is the bends in the casting are good to let the exhaust gases escape well. I got a set that I am putting on a 1975 odd-fire due to this characteristic. (for my CJ6). If you run smaller exhaust tubing on each manifold-- say about 1 5/8 -- then 2" after the cross-over---the old timers say the performance is improved. Or if you stay with small pipes for a double exhaust. It depends on the RPM you wish to run. Too big of pipes will negatively effect smaller engine performance at normal RPMs.
