alternative heater motor

As with most of all your heaters on here, mine is a bit lackluster in my 74cj5 as well in the heat/defroster department. In my research on here i have found mention of using a 87 s-10 blower motor as well as a 01 maybe pontiac grand prix motor. Is there anyone out there that have used either of these two motors that can confirm that they do indeed fit into the existing heater and increase the output of the fan? I have read about aftermarket heaters but I only want to use these as a last resort because of some of the sacrifices with the heat control. If anyone can chime in with some info/advice on these or perhaps others, it might make these winter months slightly more comfortable and defrosting.
