motorcraft carb

    Does anyone know if there is a electric choke kit for a 74 cj-5 2100 304 motorcraft carb or another motorcraft carb i can switch it with had my carb rebuilt and can't get my choke working right thanks

    Two options - the Holley electric choke kit should work. I have not tried it, but I have exchanged choke parts between Holley and Motorcraft (Autolite) carbs.

    On my CJ-6, I have a Carter BBD electric choke element. Not sure how well it works... not enough testing, but it seems to work. The BBD element is slightly larger in diameter than the Motorcraft element, and turns the opposite direction. You can pull the element out, flip it over, and put it back to change the rotation. I had to file the edge of the cover to make it fit, but it fits.
