Bell Crank?? same for CJ5 & M38A1 ???

    Will a steering bell crank for a M38A1 work on a 69 CJ5 ?

    Are they the same part?

    don't know for sure but i always heard the m38a1 steering parts were the same just made out of thicker steel.

    What I found during the saginaw installation on my 53 m38a1 is the tie rod threads are larger (3/4") as the the CJ is 11/16". The tapered end was the same though. So at least one end of the bell crank should be the same, at least to my thinking. I now use a mixture of CJ and DJ steering linkage.
