Prestolite Distributor Number 1 Tower?

    How do you tell which tower on the distributor cap is supposed to be the number 1 tower on a Prestolite oddfire distributor? Is the distributor body marked in some way?

    The nr#1 will be the tower the rotor is pointing at when the nr #1 piston is up on compression and the timing mark is on TDC.

    Unlike the Mallory distributors, I don't think the caps on the Prestolite was actually marked with a #1. Its a matter of timing.
