60/40 Jeep seats

My Tux's split bench isn't on tracks as oldtime's list would suggest. Mine are like in bobatwarsaw's pics.... Hmmmm...I took out the aftermarket buckets and put the stock back in, prefer the look.

I've been curious about this for some time. My '57 has the 60/40 seats. I know they are original to the jeep. The PO gave me a photo of the jeep which shows the same seats dated '57. Also found a pic of another '57 that was for sale on ebay, with same seat configuration. My drivers side is a rear seat modified to fit. Any opinions on this?

I presume that's the yellow CJ5 ?

The 2/3 type drivers seat part # 689862 for CJ-5 has been around since 1955.
The 1/3 type passenger seat part # 689863 for CJ-5 has also been around since 1955.

In 1957 these seats came in three shades of gray.
Code 62... dark gray tone print vinyl
Code H-87 Dark gray vinyl
Code Y-33 Light gray vinyl

Appears that your seat covers do not match ?
Can you post close-up of the seat material for each ?

 

Sure would like to see a pic of that... or a pic of a gennie Surrey Seat that includes the legs....
