Horn button

    We have a 74' CJ5, purchased a new horn button and installed the brass cap in it. But when installed on the steering wheel and horn is pressed down the brass cap will pop inward and not come back out. Therefore resulting in continuous horn. Is there a retainer ring that holds the button in place to prevent this? Thanks

    Horn button center retainer, Jeep PN 927414. It's a ring that holds the disk in, as I recall. I don't find any listing online.

    You may have to get one from a wrecking yard. Or you may be able to make one from a piece of piano wire.
