Just got around to installing my new axles. I put a dana 30 to replace my old worn out dana 27. I need to change the front driveshaft end to fit the dana 30. Im going to do the welding myself but Im having a hard time locating an end to weld to the existing shaft. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time.

You can change the yoke on your transfer case to a Dana 20 type, and then you can use standard CJ type U-joints. This will require a complete front drive shaft replacement, though. This change also allows you to use the same U-joints on both drive shafts.

If you have V-6 it runs smaller joints. You can put a 4 cyl yoke on the output of the transfer case and use a 4 cyl shaft. Then you have the large joints at both ends. That's what I did with no clearance problems.
