any ideas on a good cutter for the mounting rubber?

    I just got in my rubber to finalize my tub to the frame. problem I have is it need to be cut into separate sections. Im pondering what to use to cut the stuff. anybody else done this?

    um hacksaw, or razorblade? im not exactly sure how dense of rubber your trying to cut so i cant tell you which.

    I'd think bandsaw, if you have access to one. Otherwise make a mitre box and use a hacksaw.

    thought about the hacksaw, didnt think about a miterbox, mbe the way to go. its pretty tough stick of rubber, I just didnt want to cut it and it be all ragged and not fit right

    I was told that if you keep the rubber wet while cutting, it will have less tendancy to bind on the cutting tool.

    A fine-tooth backsaw would work too - likely better than a hacksaw.

    bandsaw, thats works when you use boat rollers for body mounts. only way to keep cut straight.

    I used a hole saw to cut pieces of mud flap for body mounts.

    the backsaw and vise did the trick, I just had to take my time to keep the cut straight
