When did they change the frames on cj5's with regards to the body mounts? I just got a 68 cj5 for my winter project. I have a cj5 frame (rolling chassie) from an unkown yr. donor (it's norrow track) that's in better shape. A couple of the mods I want to do are power sterring, power brakes, headers v6 and swap the front axle out for a Dana 30 w/disk brakes that I have. There is not anything really wrong w/68 frame, I just think the mods would fit better. Again, as with the inquiry about trhe power sterring mod. last week, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx tw

I am not sure where to start.
you have the kaiser Jeep. (willys), after amc took over in 71 they lengthen the frame front of the tub. after 76 they moved the springs "out board" and the frame kind of Y out ward. then killed the 5 later. PS and PB are easy ally done with a donor or adapters. the d30 with disk (if setup for a jeep) would be 77' or newer. It sounds like a lot of the mods would be easiest with a donor jeep. is something wrong with the current setup? by the time you round up a suitable donor you might find a better suited jeep for what you want to do.
