After I got my 63 CJ6 my dad decided that he wanted something to play with too, so he bought himself a 67 fj40. Shortly after he got it home and began playing with it, he realized that it would be 6 inches too long even if he cut off the bumpers, and it would not fit in his toyhauler trailer. I told him that what he needed was a CJ5 because they are so short. I know that they have a 20 inch shorter wheel base than my cj6 but I do not know exactly how long a 5 is. Can anybody help me with that and maybe give some suggestions about the shortest jeeps?

Also be aware that in 1972 AMC lengthened the CJ-5 by about 4-5" to accommodate their motors. The shortest CJ-5's are the '71 and older.
