231 intake on 225 jeepster motor

    Does the intake from a 231 fit on a 225 jeepster motor?

    It should if it's a 75 or 76 oddfire motor. It won't if it's evenfire. Check the casting numbers reference in tech for more help.

    Thank you. I did just that and the casting number is a 231 odd fire. So I am thinking that a 225 intake, carb, and distributor should work?????

    should. got a pic? evenfire intakes typically have a quarter size circular opening in the back behind the carb flange. oddfires don't.

    Yes as stated oddfire only the 231 has a bigger rochester 2 bbl.

    One on the right is the 231 one on left is the 225

    So what I get from this is that as long as I have a 231 odd fire motor - a 225 intake will fit?????

    yes. a 225 intake will fit an odd fire 231. if you have a lot of these interchange questions pick yourself up a copy of V6 performance by Pat Ganahal.
