i wanted to put a different type of steering wheel on my 5 to update it a bit.
its a 65 with ross steering.
will the grant steering wheels fit?
r r their any other older vehicles i could get a wheel off of that would go on it?
i had got a steering wheel out of a j10 to put on it but it didnt fit.

The reason the old Jeeps with the Ross steering system had such a large steering wheel is simple, you need the leverage to steer them!
Are you talking about upgrading to a newer steering wheel with the same diameter or going smaller? If going smaller you better have arms like Popeye;)

If you plan to off road that Jeep, I'd keep the "bus" wheel... My opinion, after wheeling one with Ross steering for 12 years...

Check summit. Grant makes a 17" wheel with a 3" dish. Should be about $40 plus another $20 for the adapter. Works well with Ross Steering.

JB Weld to fill the cracks and a can of gloss black epoxy paint. It's not perfect, but it's a whole lot nicer.
