    Lookin Good:D

I also am going Chevy 4.3 and SM 465------Got a few questions for you.

What did you do for motor and tranny mounting?? Got any close up photos showing details of the mounts?? What xfer case, and adapter did you use??

What is the fuel pump from Summit---part # and/or output PSI??

    Thanks,

As for the motor mounts I used these from advance adapters I bought them through summit

[IMG]They made mounting engine a dream I cheated mounted mounts to engine put motor in place marked holes to be drilled removed engine drilled holes bolted them up to frame and other section to motor poped motor in welded rest of mount to frame just have help with enine install I did mine by myself and it was not fun keeping engine level by self but I managed

Transmission mount I fabricated up using the original cross member cut off the whole mount that was on it than I cut a 1/4 inch plate steel 4x6 welded to cross member drilled holes for trans bolts in the 2 inch overlay off cross member added a 3/4 inch thick piece of rubber between trans and mount seat bolted it together .
used the novac adapter for the trans to transfer case I used a dana 18 transfer case with dana 20 guts

8/15 psi fuel pump I will have to check part # was like a $139.
they had cheaper ones but thought they were crap

    Thanks for the info----

How did you like the motor mounts------$121 seems pretty steep for what they appear to be, do you think they were worth the cost......I.E. ease of installation, fit, etc??

What you did for the trans mount is pretty much what I had decided was needed too.

My engine needs a 50# fuel pump, IIRC, so the one you have will not work for me, again thanks for furnishing the info.

one thing I would do different next time is use the sm420 its not as bulky with the 465 be prepared to cut out the center hump on floor
trans sits about 6 inches above the floor inside jeep
now going to fab up a floor pan like this

That's turning out nice. I couldn't tell by the pics what kind of wood you put on the rear floor. I'm in Wheat Ridge, just East of Golden. Congrats to a survivor.

I'm glad you posted those pics. I'm going to be installing a 4.3L soon, as well. It helps to see how others are installed.

What did you pull the 4.3 out of? Was it orignally carbed or did you convert it?

Looking at rebuilding my 53 3B.

    Thanks
