I don't think they are available new anymore, but Rock Auto has the rebuilt ones in stock! I'm actually running an MC56193, but it is leaking internally and I have an MC59802 on the bench to replace it.

Both of these units require the '67-'71 CJ mounting bracket, the same one that Herm sells. Depending on your Jeep, you may need to grind the top frame rail a bit, or insrall a spacer of some sort between the frame and the mount so the MC lid will clear the top of the frame. Original brackets are getting hard to find. :(

I ordered from the dual setup from Herm, should be a week or two before It arrives. I'll document the install as well as the front disc swap on here, once i get the parts. I have lots of work to do, and less time to do it... I'm in no hurry though, I've waited a long time to have a jeep.. might as well do it right.

Okay, I have the MC on its way from Herm and I'm getting my list together for parts from all the other threads on here. One thing that I've kinda been overlooking - my rear brakes are the originals (9") can I leave those for now and just put disc in the front? My plan is to get it on the road and safe asap, I can always convert the rears to disk in the future. Anyone else running discs on front with 9's in the back?

yes, but i am still running the single resivor MC and the back brakes do little to nothing. so you will need a prop valve

I'm running non-power disks on the front with 10's on the back with NO proportioning valve. The front and back lock at about the same time. I'm using semi-metallic pads in the front, too (which I know isn't ideal).

Take it easy at first with the new brakes. Get more aggressive with the pedal as you get accustomed to the new braking system. If one end locks significantly ahead of the other end, then consider the proportioning valve. I'm guessing you won't need the prop valve.
