this month has started off extremely busy. but i have been able to find time after work to get some stuff done. you know what would make life simpler for us custom build guys?? how about a search engine that provides you parts based of the year or make of engine/trans. every time i go to an auto parts store they ask what year or make of car? well i cant tell you that because it's custom!! anyways i have parts from all different years to make this project work!

here are some pics of my progress. i picked up my tranny and transfer case last week, along with a flywheel, throw out, and pilot bearing.

i have been also starting to get parts in the mail that i placed 2 weeks ago. i got all my parts to rebuild the front axle. also got my master cylinder from Herm. i ordered up some spring perches for the d30 and new u-bolt plates. these things are beefy.

you can also see my cut front bumper in this pic.

i ripped the old manifold off this engine and put my new edelbrock manifold on along with a performer carb that i had on the old set up. i had to buy a new HEI cap, found TDC and dropped her in, still need to finish all the plug wires.

i was able to get the rear end finally bolted in, now i can place the jack stands under the axle as opposed to the frame. that made it easier to bolt my tranny and trx case in.

took some better pics with my actual camera, the phone can only do so much. i am waiting for my friend to bring his welder over so i can get the bumpers on and the tank mounted. i am returning my black diamond lift because the front leaves are on back order till at least December. i placed this order in May of this year. i can not wait any longer to this project a roller. i'm going to have Deaver make some leafs specific to my ride and they can have it done in 3 weeks!

got the old spring perches cut off the dana 30, cleaned up spindles (new bearing and seals) just need to find a zirk fitting small enough so i can pump the u joints full of grease before i install the axles. cut the rest of the old rear bumper off so i can get the new thicker less bent one installed. spent half the day parts chasing! what a way to spend the weekends.

cut out the cross-member last, i'm going to box it in and it looks like it will bolt to the frame with no spacers in between.
